What is the Silk Screen？ Not really the appearence meaning

Please looking at above picture, do you have any idea on the silk screen processing?
Normally, it depends on how many colors? One time printing one color. It is the most common craft on silk screening.
For example, this product has three colors, red, green, white. When printing, our operator need put special cover jig on the product, then put it on the auto-printing machine, if our customer require, we can design the double color printing process. But it needs high professinal technology on process design.
